A little good news on the weather front: The first round of monsoon moisture is moving through the area now. No lightning has been detected in our area and the few high-based showers that were over southern Monterey County earlier are no longer showing up on radar. An area of low pressure to our south will move up the coast overnight and usher in a new batch of moisture around dawn, however, with an additional threat of thunderstorms which will last into the afternoon.
